Classical and Contemporary
Technique for Singers

Welcome!

You want to:

  • rock that musical theatre audition/role
  • master that classical art song or aria
  • unleash your inner diva/divo
  • take your craft seriously, but have fun in the process
  • bring your vocal chops up to par with your kickin’ songwriting skills
  • let go of tension and fear and LET YOUR VOICE THRIVE…

Well then, friend, you are in the right place.

Let Your Voice Thrive!

EVS is a supportive, fun and creative place to release your individual voice, personality, and artistry through the study of sound vocal pedagogy and excellent quality music in a variety of styles and genres.

EVS Students are frequently preparing for serious music endeavors, including musical theatre auditions and role preparation, college placement and scholarship auditions, professional gigs, contests, cabaret & coffeehouse performances and more.  And there is nothing we love more than seeing and hearing EVS singers THRIVE on stage!

You Write the Songs!

Singer song-writers are some of my favorite people! I love hearing someone’s heart poured out in their own words and in their own voice.  If you write songs, voice study will help you learn to sing them with confidence, knowing your voice won’t tire out and that audience will understand you.  And a big bonus: you’ll learn to release yourself from the confines of one or two keys that are in your “sweet spot.” Range expansion happens in almost every case of voice study. Let’s let that voice expand your emotional capabilities during performance!

Support of Young Singers

Young singers of all ages need support and guidance at home to be successful in music lessons. Setting up regular and effective practice routines is paramount, and we’ll talk about how to best facilitate that.  Singers also need to feel supported in their live performances and auditions, and here at EVS, we make every attempt to attend those performances whenever possible.
